This year marks a truly historic moment — 130 years of Maldon Carnival — and we’re celebrating in style with our first-ever illuminated procession!
On Saturday 4th October, the streets of Maldon will come alive with music, colour, and dazzling lights, creating a magical evening for all ages.
For well over a century, Maldon Carnival has been a highlight in Essex’s calendar, bringing colour, music, and joy to our streets. What started as a small local celebration has grown into a major community event that attracts visitors from near and far. The carnival not only showcases our town’s creativity but also raises valuable funds for local charities and causes.
Every year, families, schools, and local organisations come together to design floats, costumes, and performances that make the parade so special. It’s a tradition that truly reflects the spirit of Maldon – togetherness, fun, and community pride.
